Introduction: Online Learning is becoming a part of learning for both secondary and college institutions. Learning Resources Network (LERN) anticipates that 50% of learning will take place online. Below is a recommended list of sites for online learning for secondary schools. Notre Dame Virtual School http://www.ndvs.org Description: The goal of the Notre Dame Virtual School is to facilitate collaboration among sponsored ministries of the Sisters of Notre Dame and enable sharing of resources among teachers and students. The Notre Dame Virtual School collaboration provides opportunities for students and faculty from diverse cultures to participate together in meaningful educational experiences. All projects are taught by Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Virtual High School http://www.govhs.org/website.nsf Description: The Virtual High School is a collaborative of participating high schools; for every semester a participating school offers a VHS NetCourse, that school can enroll up to 20 students in VHS courses. A limited number of student-only schools are allowed to enroll students (10 per semester) on a trial basis, for a single year, after which they must train a teacher and join VHS as a fully participating school.
