Library Mission Statement
The Cardinal Cushing Library supports the mission of Emmanuel College by providing resources, services, and technology to meet the present and future educational, research, and information needs of its community.
Library Services and Collections
Serves the Emmanuel College Community
Traditional undergraduate students, graduate students, working professionals, accelerated programs participants (ECAP), full- and part-time faculty members, College administrators, staff, and alumni, the Colleges of the Fenway (COF), Fenway Libraries Online (FLO), and Fenway Library Consortium (FLC) institutions, as well as citizens of the greater Fenway area.
Library Collection
All disciplines in the College curriculum are represented. Holdings include: more than 96,000 volumes in the circulating and reference collections; 394 active journal subscriptions; and 45 online database resources. (Note: Off-campus access is available for most of the eletronic resources with the Online Academic Resources account information.)

Library Cooperative Alliances
Fenway Libraries Online (FLO)
A nine-member partnership comprised of the libraries at Emerson College, Emmanuel College, Lesley University (including the Art Institute of Boston), Massachusetts College of Art, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum School, New England Conservatory of Music, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Wheelock College. FLO is the library’s automated resource sharing network. The FLO network offers interlibrary loan services for document delivery of books and journal articles, and provides walk-in circulation and reference privileges.
Fenway Library Consortium (FLC)
Members include Brookline Public Library, Hebrew College, Roxbury Community College, Simmons College, Suffolk University, University of Massachusetts Boston, and the nine members of Fenway Libraries Online. FLC provides students and faculty with access to 1.5 million volumes held collectively. FLC institutions provide circulation/borrowing privileges to Emmanuel College Patrons with a valid ID card.
